Refund Policy

At FirstClause Legal Solutions, we aim to deliver legal services in a timely and professional manner. This Refund Policy is intended to clearly set out the circumstances under which a refund may be considered, in order to maintain transparency while ensuring fairness to both the client and the firm.

By proceeding with payment for any service or product offered by FirstClause Legal Solutions, clients acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy.

Scope and Applicability

This policy applies to all services and products offered by FirstClause Legal Solutions, including legal consultations, document drafting, contract review, retainer-based/ package services, and downloadable or ready-to-use legal templates. Refunds are not automatic and shall be considered strictly in accordance with the conditions set out below.

Circumstances Where a Refund May Be Considered

Refunds may be considered only in the following limited circumstances:

1. Delay in Service Delivery
A refund may be requested if there is a delay of more than seven (7) days in delivering the agreed service without any prior notice to or consultation with the client, provided that such delay is solely attributable to FirstClause Legal Solutions and not caused by client-side delays or dependencies.

2. Early Cancellation After Payment
A refund may be requested shortly after payment, subject to the following conditions:

  • Where the agreed turnaround time for the service is more than five (5) days, the refund request must be made within twelve (12) hours of making the payment.
  • Where the agreed turnaround time for the service is less than five (5) days, the refund request must be made within Five (5) hours of making the payment.

Refund requests made after the above timelines shall not be entertained.

Non-Refundable Services and Situations

Consultation fees and booking charges are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, as they are paid for reserving professional time and availability.

Amounts paid for legal templates, downloadable documents, or standard template-based products are non-refundable once purchased, irrespective of whether they are downloaded or used.

Except in the limited situations expressly stated under “Circumstances Where Refunds Are Allowed,” all payments made for services shall be non-refundable once the applicable refund request timelines have elapsed.

No refunds shall be provided for cancellations, changes in requirements, or scope modifications requested after the expiry of the refund request timelines.

Refund Request and Processing

All refund requests must be made in writing by emailing support@firstclauselegalsolutions.com. The request should include relevant details such as the service or product purchased, payment reference, and the reason for seeking a refund.

Each request will be reviewed in accordance with this Refund Policy. Where a refund is approved, the client will be informed of the applicable timeline and mode of reimbursement, and the refund will be processed within a reasonable period.
